Мне вот нет. А оказалось - это Indian English. Недавно в рассылке прилетело вот такое:
Is this sentence correct, “I did not qualify the test”?
No. “Qualify,” when it means “to meet or exceed a specified level,” is an intransitive verb. So you can’t “qualify a test,” because that would mean taking “a test” as an object, which intransitive verbs can’t do (only transitive verbs can do that). Instead, you have to say “I did not qualify for the test.” Or, if this is Indian English, “I did not pass the test.”
